Ok, I have a little card share for you today and a cute little trick.

  before you go off the deep end  - yes this is a Stampin Up Stamp.

and the cool embossing folders, are from the company with the little green machine that started the embossing folder craze (sorry, I'm not allowed to publish the name). 

2 very dear friends sent me this new 8 pack of Asian folders recently and I have been having a blast with them. 

Do you like the background tag behind the fish?

Want to know how I made it?

I punched the curly label punch from a scrap of black

then I cut off the two ends.

I measured the width of the inside edge,

cut another scrap of black long enough for my fish

attached them all together.

Used a Gold ink pen around the edges to high light the design

it also hides the layer lines for me.

Isn't that cool, a very fast and easy way to make a tag any length you need it.

I want to share a little project I finished up after they left.  I'm working on my next tutorial and it is Watercolor Wonder Crayons.  I'm having fun creating the cards for you and I decided I liked one of them so much, I should make it into a new piece for my Simply Adorned necklace..

so first I made a clear acrylic template from that advertising piece that came inside it, because it is the exact size you need.  Now I can "audition my art piece to see where I want to cut it.

I laid it over my piece, traced it in pencil and cut it out. 

Darn, now you know what stamp set February's tutorial is using - better go buy it now (it's on page 111 of the big caddy if you need a hint, and this feather was the reason I bought it, but wait till you see what else I did with it).

and here it is nicely tucked inside.....

and I did another.

I'm a Pisces, (which means I have a birthday coming-  Mar 2 (no I'm not telling you the year!)- don't forget now, I love receiving cards for my birthday!) so I'm partial to anything to do with the ocean, so I had to try the shell from the set too.  Can't tell you the last time I had this much fun with a necklace!.

Ok, thanks for letting me share the business end of it today, it 's just such a good deal right now to sign up, I'm going to reward you with another card.  I CASED myself, LOL....

Yep, another rose, I'm sorry, I just can't help it, I love painting them.  This one is Night of Navy and Elegant Eggplant, some of the fab new ribbon, this one, the lovely gray with a little Elegant Eggplant over top.  Some stitching using my white gel pen.  The background is stamped with Whisper White Craft Ink, into Night of Navy Card stock.

and here is the one I made last year that I cased, I sent this one to Sherrill at Late Night Stampers and I loved it so, so I made another.

Pretty easy to figure out if you want to case it.  The base card is 4-1/4 x 5-1/2.

Oscar and Lucy say hi to yah all.  They got to go outside for a bit today and went absolutely beserk, poor little things, I feel so sorry for them, but their incisions look awesome and it has finally quit raining which makes it easier to keep everything clean.  They are lowriders, LOL, so  that has actually been a huge problem, LOL....Lucy of course does not think so, we are considering renaming her Pig Pen......man, that girl loves to get dirty.  We have been having quiet time on the couch so I can take their cones off for a little bit and give them a good scritch, they are loving that.

CARDS FOR KIDS UPDATE AND THIS WEEKS STAMPIN UP SPECIALS

Hello and welcome back.  I was just at the post office today mailing a box of cards to my buddy Sherill down in Las Vegas.  We made/collected 313 cards for the kids and I just have to say a HUGE thank you to all who helped.

CYBER STAMP CLUB - OCTOBER
Ok, I think I am up to date and back in the saddle.  The tutorial for October is done.  I used the AUTUMN SPLENDOR STAMP SET and the AUTUMN MEADOWS DESIGNER PAPER.  Unfortunately, it will not be available until after the weekend because Heather my wonderful Blog lady, had a baby and she is a little behind in her posting, so she will get it loaded as soon as she can.  I just mess them up, so I'm not doing it (I'm taking lessons though ;0)
What I can tell you though, is the PROJECT OF THE MONTH IS AWESOME (i think so anyway)

I used the Big Shot Box #2 Die and more of the Designer paper from the AUTUMN MEADOWS DESIGNER PAPER


and I'm guessing now that you have seen this cool little box, you have an idea of what the tutorial has......


You THING you do, LOL.





And when you close the box, you can add little embellishments, sentiments, name tags for place settings.  Then fill it with little goodies for your friends.

Little candles fit in, chocolate, cookies, money.  Hey, stamps even fit in there....

I am going to try PRE-CUT KITS with my tutorials.  (I know - CRAZY), but I think it is good for you the customer.  EVERYTHING will be in the kit.  It will be shipped to you priority mail and you need to be patient for a week because I'm not allowed to stock pile the supplies, I have to order them once you have ordered.  A small price to pay I think though as it is definitely a money saving deal for you.  Plus it's all measured and cut out, just like you came to my studio and took a whole class from me.  Without the sarcasm and bad jokes (lucky you).... you will miss my happy smiling face, I can guarantee it...
