One of my stamping friends sent me a link to her blog to share with me a card she created when she cased a card I recently sent her.  This card is so drop dead gorgeous (her's not mine, tee hee), that I asked permission to share it with you, and whoo hoo, she said yes!

Now truly, isn't this one of the prettiest cards you have seen in some time, I just thought it was fabulous.

Another of my awesome downline Sherry Hoestetter.  Sherry Lives in Hutto Texas, so if you live in the neighborhood, give her a call, as you will see below, she is an excellent artist, this is her latest work, and there is a link to her blog at the bottom.  Her work is so exception, she was picked to present a WOW" project at the Stampin Up Regional Event held in Texas recently.

  Hey there all of Sandi's friends and followers, I'm Sherry Hostetter, a native Texan and if you could hear me as I write this, you'd know instantly I'm from Texas just from hearing my long slow southern drawl.

I'm so excited to be a guest designer on Sandi's blog. Thank you Sandi, you're the best! My career in crafting and being creative started at a very early age. I call it a career, because it is something I truly love to do and that is what a career should be, right? For those of you reading this that are 60+ years old, you'll know exactly what I am talking about in this short story, for you that are younger, you'll just have to live vicariously through me. My career in crafting started at a very young age. I was maybe 4-5 years old. I had received a little red Fire Truck for Christmas, I think. The kind that you sat down in and pushed the pedals (kinda like a bicycle but back and fourth) to make it move. It had the wooden ladders that hung on each side. There was only one problem with them….they were plain ole wood and I thought that they should be beautiful colors. So I proceeded to take my tiny box of water colors and very small paintbrush and paint each rung of the ladder a different color. Well I didn't get very far in the painting process before my Mom found me and my little craft project and made me stop “messing up the ladders” as she put it. I was crushed, I thought they were beautiful. But I never that let that stop me from being creative. And to this day, some 58 years later, I still love being creative.

I found stamping and paper crafting two years ago. While web surfing one night I found the Late Night Stampers group on Yahoo and then I found Sandi. I was in love with her fabulous work instantly. I started ordering from her and my love affair with Stampin' Up! started. Then one day I wanted to add something to my order and so I called Sandi to ask about it and it was during that conversation that I invited myself to become a demonstrator under her. I'm sure I must have been the easiest recruit ever!

I started out as a hobby demo, but have come to realize the value in having my own business. I am getting near retirement age and I would love to craft and create in my old age and earn a living doing it through Stampin' Up!

I have created a wonderful studio in my home for workshops and classes. I have at least two classes each month and I would love to expand to even more classes or workshops in my home or in yours, if you're in the central Texas area. I will work with you to find a time to have a class where you can invite your family and friends and have a wonderful time creating an awesome project. I love making new friends and would really love the opportunity to meet you. We always have a great time at my classes, do a lot of laughing, and always have a great dessert while we look at the fabulous Stampin' Up! Catalog. I'd love for you to join in the fun.
